I currently have FTP server running on WIN 2000 Server and experiencing a permission problem. When I limit all access to Read only, our customers our saying they still have the ability to delete records. What can be causing this issue. All accounts ar
e local accounts.

What other settings should I look into.

Thanks,
Tim

How are you limiting access? This is basic NTFS permissions, so check
group membership as well.

Tim,

What are the NTFS permissions on the underlying files and folders
where the users are still able to delete the files ? I'd start by
checking there first. The users may have some group membership which
is allowing them to delete files.
