I have a network with 4 Win2K Servers. The network is connected to the
Internet via a Router (Cisco). I want to use 'ftp' to connect to a remote
computer on one of the servers but I always get the error message -
'ftp:connect:connection timed out'. I tried using other servers in the
network and I was able to connect to ftp.

However, I really need to have the ftp on this particular server as it
serves as my application server. What could be wrong and what can I do to
rectify this.

I await your prompt response.

Thanks.

What could be wrong ? Your router is effectively blocking your
attempts to connect to the FTP server.

What can you do to rectify this ?
Configure your router correctly to allow FTP traffic through. This
isn't an IIS problem.

Check the documentation that came with your router or vist
www.cisco.com and start looking there.
