Author FTP problem - Can't see my files or directories from outside the network

I'm using Windows 2003 Enterprise Edition. I'm running a webserver which is running just fine. Now, I am interested in adding in a FTP site, so I can upload files from home.

So, far when I FTP internally, I do get a logon screen and can see my files and directores. But, when I try to access it from outside the network - I do get a log on screen and I do see a folder - looks to be the root folder - but no files or directories are listed. Not sure whats causing the problem.

Also, I tried to upload a couple of .bmp files from home to see where they would be stored on the server and it looks like the files are being stored in the C:/Inetpub/ftproot folder. How do I change that so it goes directly to the webfolder I am trying to connect to.

Can someone please help me out here.

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Lisa
