how can i set a user john can only see or logon to A and B,
mary can only see or logon to only C

| Don't have the exact config, but you should be able to restrict access via
NTFS permissions. as for the 'listing' part if might take while to figure
what permission to apply. But it's fairly easy to restrict access, say only
grant user John read/write on folder A and B, and Mary for folder C.
