| Hi,
how to install the IIS without using "Add/Remove Windows Component" or
autorun function of Windows XPp setup CD?

this is a good point to start.
I tried some installation on my XP notebook and it worked well.
My target systems are some customer kiosks with Windows XP embedded on
it and they didnīt finish the installer because of some missing files.
Upgradeing this boxes in the field will not be simple i think.

insert sp2 disk or sp1 ??

there are round about 20 missing files.
I think i better start from the beginnig and include IIS.

I found these files on XP prof in the system32\setup and inf directorys.
errormsg: some sort of "could not initialyse" when clicking
"Add/Remove..." .Copyind them to the appobiate folder resolve the errors
but the IIS installer ends with many errors in IIS log file.The IIS FTP
site could not started.
I have taken the long way and now i have a new version with included IIS
and it works.
