Author System Standby During FTP Transfer

I have a low-use server and want to do the odd file transfer by FTP. It's so
low use that I set it for wake on lan. It goes into system standby after 10
minutes of inactivity.

This all works fine until it comes to FTP transfers. The server wakes up
and the FTP session works normally. However, after 10 minutes of downloading
the PC shuts down - for some reason the FTP transfer isn't considered
"activity" and doesn't keep the computer awake. Is there a way to change
that behaviour? Would I fix my problem by going to Webdav?

Darren.

PS. Does Webdav support resume for up/downloads?

Well, in this case. I think the 'wake up on lan' feature that shutdown the
machine is not working correctly. Nothing in ftp you can change to fix this.
Hence, I'm guessing it would be the same for wedav and yes I think webdav as
an extension for http support download/upload resume.
