Access denied when trying to write to FTP site

| I created a new FTP site on my Windows 2003 server in a testing environment.
I can successfully ftp to the site from a dos command window or using WS Pro
FTP utility. I can navigate and see my test FTP site. Appears all I get is
read access only. I cannot upload, delete or create and get an "access
denied" error. I connect a the local machine Administrator so I have full
access throughout. Somewhere it looks like I need to apply some permissions
but where I do not know. I've checked all permissions on the FTP website and
in the local c:\inetpub directory. Any ideas?

I'm getting the same error. Have you gone into IIS Manager, Default FTP
Site Properties, Home Directory tab and checked the "write" box?
I've done that, and it works on some other servers we have, but I'm
still getting the 550 Access Denied error on two servers. I even
enabled Anonymous access and made a test directory and gave IUSR full
controll and got the same error.

| Yes John I've done that also. There is another posting here that I thought
was resolved my issues because it is similiar. The subject is titled
"Security" and the posted date is 9/21/2005. Check it out perhaps it can
help you but it did not work for me by disabling Annonymous access.
