| Hello,
I just recently moved an ftp server (the physical hardware) to a new
location, and it appeared to be working correctly user were able to log
in and I was happy. However, when I was asked to setup a new user to
access our ftp site, I cannot get them to log in, I am getting a "530
user cannot log in. Login Failed" error. I have made sure I added the
user correctly and that everything was the way it is suppose to be and
I am not able to get them to log in. I was doing some troubleshooting
and found that if I access the FTP site through its local IP address I
am able to connect using the new users credentials.
I am running a Windows Server 2003 standard edition it has IIS 6.0, and
setup to use user isolation.
I am using address ftp.domainname.com and can get user to log in. If I
use its local ip I can log in fine with the new users credentials.
I have looked at the event and FTP logs and they do not show anything.
Any Ideas?
Thanks,
Andrew

| Since your machine has been compromised, I suggest a rebuild.
For those files/folders, you can try.
You cannot remove suspicious folders from the FTP file structure
