Author Failure to get directory listing when logging in externally

I setup IIS/FTP on my XP Pro box. I am able to see the directory
listing when I connect using another computer on the network using the
local IP address. When I try to connect externally (using the external
IP), I can connect, but the directory listing fails (basically
hangs). I forwarded ports 20-21 and ports 2000-2010 to the FTP
server. I disabled my firewall on the server and I don't have a router
firewall. I tried using passive and active modes. Any ideas?

it looks like your router doesn't NAT and port forward the request
correctly.
you got 500 invalid command?
