Hi, I've gone through checking this a thousand times now and can't get
this FTP side to work. I keep getting 530 cannot login home directory
inaccessable yet the directory tree seems to be set up correctly.

I'm using my name and password as I would use to login to the W3K
server. I'm in the admin group. SP2. AD is set up because Exchange
server is also on the machine but I'm use as little of it as
possible. I have choosen the FTP account to be in isolation mode.

Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

Fastest way to trace this is to get filemon from microsoft.
then see where does IIS FTP sending the user to, and whether the user has
permission to the directory.

Hi pals!
See, if you are having this problem, this because you've configured a FTP
Site using "User Isolation Mode". In this mode, you have to configure a
folder called LocalUser inside the home folder. After creating this folder,
you have to create one folder named with user's login name to each user that
must have access to this FTP Site.

I hope this helped you!

Best regards!

On the other hand, if you are sure that you have the correct folder
structure setup, yet still getting the same problem.
Get filemon to trace and see where does IIS FTP is redirecting the user, and
look at what cause the access error.

Hi Bernard. Good morning (I'm in brazilian time... :-) )
I've traced this problem with File Monitor and that's how I discovered this
ste-by-step to fix it.
It's really a great tool!!!
Best regards.
