It is alot more secure and has a lot more support for
other features. And if you didnt know apache can run on
windows!

Switch to Apache

But you still need to know how to secure and patch Apache, Apache
vulnerabilities come out regularly. And some people need features that only
come with IIS, like windows integrated authentication, full .ASP support,
support for OWA, integration with other Microsoft products, etc. etc. If
you can't keep IIS and/or Windows secure, you're going to have problems
keeping Apache and/or Linux secure.

Ummm, if you can't figure out IIS, you can't figure out Apache. That's like
telling some clown who can't secure his Windows network to switch to UNIX.
Is OpenBSD more secure than Windows out-of-the-box? Probably. But if you
put an idiot at the wheel, it doesn't really matter....

Hi, Ben:

Great that you supplied your real email address. I am getting ready to show you how secure that is. Have fun, before you need to change your email address after you begin receiving all the spam and viruses.

what does recieving a crapload of spam have to do with Apache/IIS
security? I fail to understand your reasoning.

Security is a NOT a product. It is an on-going challenge
as you wide open the digital products to the public usage.
It is like our constitution and ammendments. The product
seems to be secured until they are open to the public. I
think that real "open" is not just for interoperability -
it is for public usage.

That's a bit mean-spirited isn't it ?

And besides his address will no doubt be picked up by the spambots
that scour newsgroups for addresses anyway...

And of course that may not be his address, maybe it's an address of somebody
who posted Use IIS in an apache group...

The fact that someone is a jerk doesn't justify you being one.
