Trouble replacing certificate
|
|
| Art O'Malley 2004-01-24, 2:00 am |
| I was quite familiar installing, renewing & replacing certificates in IIS
4.0, but I having trouble with IIS 5.0 certificate wizard.
I have an existing Verisign certificate expiring on the 28th, but I'm not
able to easily renew because the organization name of the corporation has
change since the original certificate was issued.
The wizard gives me only 2 options, "Renew the current certificate" and
"Remove the current certificate". The 3rd option, "Replace the current
certificate" is grayed out, and this is what I need to do as I want to
generate a new CSR to send with the company's current information.
What can I do?
Thanks in advance,
Art

Remove the certificate and generate a new request with the current info.

| If that's my only choice -
This server only accepts SSL connections, so I guess we'll have to go down
for that period of time and then restore the old certificate until the new
one is issued - not the best solution.
Is this my only choice?
Thanks
