SSL certificate problem
|
|
|
| Hi
I'm trying to test out how to use SSL in my web site but I'm having problems
getting the test SSL certificate installed. I've installed Certificate
Services on a server, downloaded and installed the root certifiacte to my
laptop (where I'm developing the web site). I've created a certificate
request from IIS on my laptop, sent it to the certificate server and got the
".cer" file back. When I try to complete the process by installing the
certifictae it fails with the error "Failed to install the certificate. Keyst
does not exist".
My certificate server is W2k SP4 and my development laptop is Windows XP Pro
SP2.
I've tried this a few times today but I'm getting nowhere with it.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Dave

I could never get that working either, and someone here suggested
selfssl and it worked great.
