| I am unable to remove a popup porno site. I states that
it is in my computer and has to be removed from the
control, but I can't even find it and the security is up
in everything on this computer and it still won't block
it. I would love some help. thanks

| You might want to try downloading spybot search and destroy: http://beam.to/spybotsd
Its a free app. I have been running it for a week and it seems to have helped with the adware spyware on my PC!

Unless you're the admin of IIS and the site is running on your IIS
server, you won't be able to.
Of course, I realize that you haven't a clue what IIS is and don't use
it, but that's the topic of the group you posted to. You really want
an Internet Explorer or more general security group, or the resources
at:

| Enable 'Content Advisor' i Internet Explorer (Tools>Internet
Options>Content>Content Advisor) and add the site to the list of 'Always
blocked' sites. The pop-up will still occur but the site will not open. Two
words of caution though; make sure you keep the password handy after you set
it, and also allow 'Users can see sites with no ratings', since many
legitimate sites have no ratings and you will keep getting prompted for the
password on them.
Another way you can accomplish this is by adding the offending site to the
'Restricted' site zone under the Security tab of internet explorer options.
Obviously this would have to be on a per site basis, and without reference
to ratings.
And a word to J. Cochran; there is no need to be nasty. I also realize that
the user posted to the wrong group, but that does not warrant flaming her by
throwing a few acronyms around.
