I have just installed a router and when I click on the Frontpage 2002 server
extension settings ( in the properties of my default web site in the IIS
services ), it now prompts me for a username and password. I have tried
using a username that is part of the admin group, but it won't work. And
instead of using "mycomputername\username" it is looking for
"192.168.0.2\username", but I just assumed that since the IP is the
computer's IP assigned by the router, it was the same thing. Any ideas
would be greatly appreciated.

and you did try using mycomputername\username ??
The IP\username is just a lame attempt to save you
some keystrokes, and does not form a valid credential.
