When i try to use a password and user name on any website
it tells me that they are incorrect and i know that they
are correct. What have I done. This is the same message
no matter where I go. I can used the stored passwords or
type it in and it does not matter . What is the problem
and how might I fix it?

try to put your domain in front of your user name.
logon looks something like:
Username mydomain\mark
Password **********

try this I occasionally have to log on this way Not sure why I have to
include the domain sometimes but it works.
