Author SSL Export - Export with Private Key disabled

When I try to export one of my SSL certificates, the
option to export private key is disabled. Server is
running W2k, SP4.0, IIS 5.0.

Do I need to request a new cert to move it to another
machine? Does this indicate we messed up the original
installation of the cert?

Any help is appreciated.

Hi Mary,

I would guess that you didn't select the option "Mark key as exportable"
when you were installing it on this server. Now the only option you have is
to export public key only.

Anyway, if the machines have different names, you should request new
certificate that will have new machines name in the certificate FQDN.
