blank x boxes in websties
|
|

| Not sure what to do about the fact that I can't "click"
on certain items on websites. Instead there are blank
boxes with an X in the left hand corner.
Maybe my internet settings aren't right - but I have XP
operating system, and the latest updates on all
software....
Any ideas?
Thanks

Assuming you're talking about the check boxes in the IIS management
interface, those are options either unavailable in XP Pro or
unavailable as the user you've logged in as.
If you're talking about checkboxes on web sites you're visiting, then
nothing ion IIS security will help you, you need to ask in an IE
group.

| She's talking about missing images, not checkboxes. Those have nothing to do
with security and especially not IIS security.

If URLScan is blocking GIF extensions it is. If she has the GIF files
in a folder that has had security removed, it is as well. Hard to
tell from her original post of course.

| The way I understand the original post Mary's IE doesn't display images on
some web sites. Those are not her web sites, but she thinks changing IE's
security settings might help.
