IIS Server Security - Could not find a part of the path

Hi in my Web application i am trying to open a file in the
network system. It works fine if i use the network path.
But it failed when i used a mapped path. My system as well
as the machine from where i am trying to access the file
are windows 2003. And i am developing my application
using .Net.

Can anyone throw lights on this issue ?
