Hi,

we have a Windows 2000 server (2 partitions c: and d running with
several websites hosted on it. Everything went fine until we had a crash
a month ago. On the c: drive the system is installed and on the d: drive
the data of all the websites and logfiles etc. is stored.

After the crash we formatted the C: drive and reinstalled windows
2000. We didn't do anything with our D: drive because nothing was
wrong with our data. After everything was reinstalled the websites
could be visited again from the internet.

But sometimes if someone visits a random website or a random page,
or a random image, than the server comes with a pop up screen in
which it asks for credentials!! If I don't fill in these credentials than
for
example I can't see one image and the rest I can see. If I refresh the
same page then the image is available.
So these things happen randomly and I hope someone has dealth with
this problem before.

thx

Ramon
