IIS Admin Service cannot be stopped - .NET 1.1 Framework Installation Hangs

Hi,

while trying to install .NET framework 1.1 the installer
gets stuck while trying to stop the IIS Admin service and
the installation won't finish successfully.
I tried to stop the service manually, but I cannot seem
to be able to stop the IIS at all from there, too...
Does anyone know how I could solve this?
Please help!
