IIS Server Security - access net share from webserver

Our web application is running on a 2003 server with IIS 6.0. Our ASP.NET application needs to read and write to a file on a different server. What do I need to do so that our web application can read/write to the file on other server? I have been told that I need to use the ASPNET, IWAM or IUSR users of the webserver to do this but I do not know. Is this even possible? Can this work or is impersonation my only option? Our company uses strict security and the Active Directory. Any ideas?
