Hello~
The IIS Webcast Series continues this week with a very exciting 2-part
series. As IIS administrators and developers, we often have trouble setting
up secure solutions for the Internet and for authentication to a multi-tier
application. In Windows 2000, we offered a solution using delegation, but
this environment was unconstrained and only applicable to certain protocols.
In Windows 2003, we offer protocol transitioning and delegation features
that allow a highly scalable multi-tier approach to application security.
Do you know S4U2Self? What about S4U2Proxy? Are you familiar with
configuring Basic authentication on the perimeter of your DMZ and
transitioning to Kerberos through the firewall to the backend SQL database
in ASP.NET?
If these topics are of interest to you and you would like to learn more,
then you will want to access this 2-part Webcast. In it we will outline all
the necessary background information needed to setup, deploy, and
troubleshoot protocol transitioning and delegation in IIS and ASP.NET.
