Helo,

anybody know how you can secure file; so give permissons for some users any
take everyone to off?

Example:
I have server extension folders and in many cases in more debth.
(d:\wwwroot\inetpub\test\abcd\file\) ... test and abcd are server
extensions web(make with IIS manager), folder file is jsut folder make with
Explorer..
All security of webs now you can control with Server Adminsitration (MS
SharePoint Adminsitrator-Internet Explorer) and not with Windows Explorer
like in iis 5.0->well, i think, BUT i can't control security regular
folders, in my case like "file" with Server adminsitration, where you can
switch off Anonymous acces for server extensions web....In Windows explorer
i can't remove Everyone user like before in IIS 5.0 because it doesn't have
it.

In folder "file" i have many files (.xls) and i'd like to have diferent
security for each file and without everyone access..

What is solution?

Many thanks.

T.T.

It's the same - use Explorer to set different NTFS permissions on your
files.

It doesn't work at me. Beacuse the parent folder is FP server extensions web
nad has ANONYMOUS set to ON (.hmtl under this web are public), but one
folder created with Explorer have .xls files witch must not be seen by
everyone; ..so...it's still visibile or accessible from everyone... How can
I remove access for Everyone?

Tnx

You can still do it manually as I had suggested or you can convert that
folder into a FrontPage subweb and manage permissions that way.
