401.1 then 401.5 then "Page cannot be found" sent to client

| I have an IIS 6.0 web server set up using Integrated auth. When clients who
are part of the domain go to the site, SOME of them get this result:
When they first hit the web page, they get a page cannot be found error and
if they hit refresh, it works EVERY time.
I have used AUTHDAIG to get the following log files showing what really
happens. From this I gather it is as happens in the title, 401.1, 401.5, Page
cannot be found because it tries to the go to a page that doesn't exist
(\\?\D:\Websites\Intranet\iisadmpwd\anot3.asp) It seems to try to log on
anonymously, fails, then tries to go to an non-existent page.
This happens to all websites on this server. Some clients have no problems,
others have this everytime they visit.
