hi,

we have a win 2000 domain with ad.
as a member of the domain there is a win 2000 server running iis 5.0.
there are mixed xp pro and win 2000 clients, which are also member of the
domain.

in the ie settings of all clients we activated "prompt for username and
password".

when a domain user on a win 2000 client will connect to the iis, he is
prompted for username and password.

when a domain user on a xp pro client will connect to the iis, he is
prompted for domain\username and password.

what is the differnce between xp pro and win 2000 ?

we want that all domain users have the same login : username / password.

have anyone an idea ?

thanks in advance.
