Digest authentication repeated requests

| I have an IIS 6.0 application that I am accessing from IE6. When I set the
IIS for "Basic" authentication everything works OK. When I try to use
"Digest" authentication, the IE6 popos up the passwor box a number of times.
The password box does not pop up at set spots in the processing of the fairly
complicated frams display that the page returns. Sometines there will be 12
or more requests for authentication and at other times only 2-3 requests
occur.
Any help with this problem will be greatly appreciated.

| Are you running SP1 on your Windows 2003 Server?
