Hi,

www.google.com by itself doesn't require any certificates.

What operating system do you run? If you run Windows 2000 or newer then run

nslookup www.google.com

from command line. What do you get? You should get something like:

***
Non-authoritative answer:
Name: www.l.google.com
Addresses: 64.233.183.99, 64.233.183.104
Aliases: www.google.com
***

Try browsing to the IP numbers that you get back from nslookup. Are you able
to reach google in this way?
