IIS Server Security - IIS SSL timeout over internet

IIS SSL timeout over internet

I developed an ASP.NET Website that runs on IIS with SSL (that has been set
up using the SelfSSL tool). When I connect to this site within my local
network, everthing is fine. The secured website is being displayed really
fast. But when I tried to connect over internet from another PC, the
connection timed out. Opening other unsecured websites on that server over
internet works fine.
The server is up to date with all Microsoft patches.
SelfSSL has been run with the default params (1024 key length, trusted,
valid for 10 years).

Does anyone know why I cannot connect to the secured website?
