I'm getting the following error message when accessing one of our
intranet site from one machine with IE6. All other machines with IE6
will get logon prompt when accessing the site but this one. On this
machine, the logon window doesn't show. Please advise how to resolve
this.

Thank you!

Hi,

How is IIS set up for authentication? Does it support Integrated
Authentication? Does it support Basic authentication?

Can you make sure that user that is trying to view the site actually has
read permissions on the content of the website. IIS will always honor NTFS
permissions.

In IE at the bottom right what zone does it say the page is in? If
intranet, then in IE goto tools --> internet options to the security tab
and select the zone the URL is in for example like intranet and select
the custom options, if you scroll to the bottom there is an option that
says login with current user name and password. Change that to prompt
for user name and password.
