IIS 6, SQL 2000 and trusted connection
|

| I have an IIS 6.0 web server (WEB2) hosting an application that uses an SQL
2000 database. The SQL 2000 database resides on a separate server (SQL2). I
would like to configure the web site to use Windows Integrated authentication
only. I would like to use Windows authentication only for SQL as well. In
testing, I have observered that I cannot access the SQL database from the web
server.
I have located the following articles which may apply to my situation:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/176377
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/176379
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/176380
In reviewing these articles, I see that they apply to version of IIS prior
to IIS 6.0. Does anyone know if the issue(s) described here apply to IIS 6.0?
Does anyone know if this issue also exists when using SQL 2005?
Thanks in advance for the help,
McR
