IIS Manager Closes Unexpectedly

| Hello folks!
I have a Windows 2000 server with IIS 5.0. I need to install/import an
SSL certificate into one of the sites.
The problem is, when I click on a site, right-click to open Properties,
select the Directory Security tab, then click the Server Certificates...
button, IIS Manager closes after about 3-4 seconds with no warning or
error messages. Nothing is logged to the server's event logs, so I don't
have a clue as to what is wrong.
It doesn't matter which site I do this for, whether the default site or
one of the other sites.
Has anyone seen this before? Is it a corrupted DLL?
What already have tried to do, unsuccessfully, is uninstall IIS from
Control Panel's Add/Remove Programs, Windows Components section, reboot,
reboot, reinstall IIS, reapply SP4 components for IIS, reboot,
reconfigure IIS for default site info (ip address, move InetPub folder
to D:, etc.). Same problem occurs where IIS Manager unexpectedly closes
with no warnings or errors.
Any comments/recommendations will be greatly appreciated!!

| For those interested, it was the Xenroll.dll needed to be re-registered.
Here's the MickeySoft KB on it:

Cheers to SunGard Higher Education for all the support and help!
