| Hi!, I installed Visual Studio 6.0 with SP6 in my Windows XP with SP2 and IIS
5.1,
When I try to create a new project in my VI 6.0, I can't do it because a
message appears "unable to contact server" after write my localhost name an
click next.
I'm sure that there is a problem with my FrontPage Server Extensions, I
don't know what version of FrontPage Server Extensions install to solve this
problem.
I already installed Remote Machine Debuguer and Visual Interdev Server from
my CD2 of Visual Studio 6.0.
Can anyone help me?
Regards.

| Hi,
Installed FPSE2000 (or FPSE 2002 if you have access to that).
For FPSE2000, there is a wizard inside IIS Manager to configure FPSE for
that site. Run through the wizard, ensuring that you create the three local
groups it asks you for.
For FPSE2002, there is a website in the Administrative Tools folder. YOu
need to use that website (called Sharepoint Administration) to extend the
website, and configure authoring permissions.
HTH
Cheers
