Dear Friends, I tried to create an aps.net or web service
application in vs 2003, I got these errors. Pls help. thanks!

Cannot create the offline cache in 'C:\Documents and
Settings\& #91;myusername]\VSWebCache\CWXPTDVP5RRA\
WebService2'. Unable to create
a web at the URL "/C:/Documents and Settings" because FrontPage information
was unexpectedly encountered beneath the corresponding directory
("C:\Documents and Settings"). If you are certain that there is no FrontPage
web at "C:\Documents and Settings", you should delete the file "C:\Documents
and Settings\_vti_pvt\services.cnf" or rename it to "services.org".

when I follow the above recommendation or even when I delete the the
services file inside C:\Documents and Settings\_vti_pvt. , I got the
following error. there is also an empty dir at
C:\Documents and Settings\_vti_cnf

Project 'WebService2' could not be opened because the Microsoft Visual C#
..NET compiler could not be created.
Loading the .projdata file failed or the disk is full.

I had .net framework 2.0 and 3.0 installed and I did remove them but still
the same problem. any suggestions?

and when I try to open an existing web service, I got this error:
the default web access mode for this project is set to frontpage but the
project folder at http://localhost/[mywebservicename] cannot be opend with
frontpage.
the error returned was unable to pen web project '[mywebservicename]'.
server error: there is no web named "/[mywebservicename]
what would you like to do: try to open the project with a file share path:
c:\folder1\folder2\[mywebservicefoldername] and when I try to change the
setting by following bellow method:
Change your file-access method to FrontPage in the Access Mode dialog box.
You can access that box by choosing Options from the Tools menu, selecting
the Projects folder, and then selecting the Web Settings property page.

I had still got the first error mentioned above: Cannot create the offline
cache...

thanks a lot in advance.

regards
andy
