IIS 6 Permissions for IIS admins
|
|
|
| Hello,
We have many servers with IIS 6 (windows 2003) installed. THere is another
department that manage the IIS. In the past, they have been added to the
local administrators group, but we do not want to grant them this
permissions. Is there any way to delegate permissions or grant IIS admin
permissions without adding them to the local admin group?
Thanks.

| There is no supported way of doing this - this is something that has been
"fixed" in IIS 7.0.There are third party management tools you could use
instead for IIS5/6
Cheers
Ken
