Trying to bypass a Proxy Server with a Linux machine

On my network everyone has to go through a Microsoft
Proxy server to get to the internet (everyone runs proxy
client). I had to buy a Linux Advance Server 2.1 and it
needs to access the internet. Is there a trick to
bypassing the proxy server so that the Linux machine can
see the internet?
