Hi,

I have a few questions about IAS Login; I hope someone can help me.

1º one user has connected. In the log files, I have one Accept-Request, one
Access-Accept and 50 Accounting-Request (Acct-Status-Type 2) in the same
second. It has happened several times. Why?

2º one user try to connect. In the log files, I have several entries with
Accept-Request and Access-Accept, Accept-Request and Access-Accept in the
same second. Why?

3º in the column "Authentication-Type" I have the value "11", what it means?
(I think it is PEAP, but...)

4º in the column "Tunnel-Type" I have the value "13", what it means?

5º I think I've more columns in my logs that are described in this document

http://www.microsoft.com/resources/..._IAStopnode.asp
Where can I find the descriptions of the last four fields?

That's all

Thanks in advance

Tony

Try using iasparse.exe (located in support tools on the OS CD). It will
output the ias logs in a more human readable format. There is also a cute
3rd party tool (don't remember the name now) that does the same and more
(csv output, xml output, fancy parsing, etc.).

Once you have the logs in a readable format, it is rather easy to "see" what
is happening.
