| I have two questions.
Can anyone recommnend best practices for logging accounting data to a flat
file?
Second, is there any documentation or methods to report on accounting data
in the logs?
Thanks,
Kirby

| Hello Kirby,
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/pr...aa6349f051.mspx
has a section on best practices for logging accounting data.
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/pr...729bb5daf7.mspx
talks about IAS Parse which can parse the log files for you. You may have to
write scripts to extract what you want from the output of this tool.
Thanks, manju

| Thank you both for your replys --
Ray: Your recommendation seems like the best short term (quick fix)
solution. I am running with it.
Manjunath: The long term solution is in your direction, or with SQL
logging. The centralized database would provide a unified view of all
authentication requests and rejections.
