| Will an IAS server built in VMWare work?
I am at the point with a vmware ias server and would expect to see
accept/deny requests in the logs from my test machine which is a real
workstation but im not seeing any requests logged yet the client network
adapter is failing to authenticate. Im using peap/mschap v2.
The domain and group policy, etc work fine between the pc and the vmware
server but im wondering if the packets for the IAS would be transferred over
the virtual network adapters?

Yes, the IAS also works in a virtual environment without problems.
The RADIUS packets (UDP) simply have to find their way :-)
You might ask at VMWare forums for detailed information about
routing/bridging of virtual networks.

Yes, can confirm its now working with ias server within vmware, a few tweaks
to the config of switch/ias - unrelated to vmware was needed.
