Author Not a relay, but mail timing out to some sites ...

I have just put up a Windows 2000 server with Exchange
2000. This was previously running Exchange 5.5 on NT4.
Complete re-formats were done and installs from scratch.

We are experiencing issues where mail is not getting to
many of the external addresses, not because of open relay
issues, but by simply timing out (I have it set to time
out after two days for testing).

The sites having issues seem to be the main ones: MSN,
AOL, YAHOO, but there are many others.

I can successfully send to other sites including optonline
and other privately owned e-mails, so I am real confused
at this point.

Any help is appreciated.
