Monitoring the Badmail folder

I need to write an application to monitor my Badmail folder. I need to get
the email that the messages were sent to and store them. I was looking at
using the file system object to access the bad mails and use the regular
expression object to get the email out.

Before I code this up, I want to check if there were any api's that could do
this for me?
