How can I cange the default SMTP domain name in IIS under server 2003?
Currently default domain name is servername.virtualdir.local I want to cahnge
it to, mysite.org without changing my local domain's name.. I have tried
setting up an alias but there is no option to "Make this default" when I
right click on the alias domain.everything I read on the subject refers to
"TC/IP settings on the "network application" under the control panel. what is
the "network
application"?www.microsoft.com/resources/documen...cal_default.asp
Please help!

You could change the default in Windows 2000 Server as you described above.
In WinXP you can rename the default. Perhaps you also can in Win2003. Just
right click on the domain and pick rename from the popup menu.
