Send external mails. Can a local W2K Pro SMTP Server send external mails? How?
|

| Hi,
I'm designing an ASP.NET app and testing it from my local IIS.
This app send mails so I've installed the SMTP Server that comes with W2K
Pro.
But none of my friends receive the mail I send through my app.
I must be missing something important about SMTP Servers.
It seems that I can't send external mail, isn't it?
What do I have to do so that I can send external mails as if I was using a
FAI SMTP Server?
What is the difference between my local SMTP Server and a FAI SMTP Server
then?
Thanks for your help!

| Sorry, actually it seems that it's working.
The messages were sent to a bad address :-(
My fault!
Thanks anyway!
