| Because my IP address changes from day-to-day through my local isp, I cannot
enter a static ip address for my pc within Relay on my stand alone server.
Is there a way to get around this?
thanks

| Yes,
Instead of using the IP address to control relay, instead you can set your
client to authenticate with the relay server. On the relay server configure
it to allow authenticated users to relay only. Just ensure that you have a
policy of strong password so that spammers can't easily guess accounts and
use them to relay.

| I did what you suggested.
I took out Anonymous so that authentication is required but my client can't log in. When I created the mailbox it creates and associated user and I set the password, which is the same that my client is using but it obviously isn't recognised.
Am I missing something?
