503 This mail server requires authentication. Please check your mail client settings.


I got above message in my SMTP service eventlog when I tried to send email to my own hotmail and yahoo account.

But the emails gets sent successfully when I sent it to my own domain name email address.

I have mailenable installed on my web server.

Could someone help? Thanks.

Which SMTP server is giving the error? Yours, or Hotmail/Yahoo's? If
the latter, they are seeing you as a probable SPAM relay site...
