How do I configure my exchange server to receive and send
email using my external domain(ej. Exchange.com)

In other words, I want to use my exchange server not only
to send emials via intranet, also send out and receive
from outside too.

If this is Exchange 2000/2003, just add the domain name as the primary SMTP
address for that policy. Out of the box it works for sending mail to the
internet, but you may want to configure a simple SMTP connector to have more
control on which mail is internal/external.

Hi Casey,

Your below e-mail is answer for sending e-mail, but can we use the same method for receiving e-mail?

For example I have a domain: mycompany.com outside my office.
In my office, I have mycompany.local.
I want to download all the e-mails (me@mycompany.com) to the local exchange server mailbox (me@mycompany.local)..
How can we do that?
Is it the same way that you mentioned below?

Thanks in advance....
