Is this user also connecting to an Exchange Server (using MAPI) on the same
profile. If so, this isn't supported, though I believe it is in the 2003
version. In this case have them try setting up a separate profile with only
internet mail configured and point it to your SMTP server then test. If this
is not the case please reply.

Thanks for response.

They aren't using Exchange, but Qmail running on a linux box.
I have referred them back to their IT, regarding user permissions on this
box, as our app needs to create a file before attaching to mail message and
possibly the user hasn't got r/w permissions etc.
