Can someone tell me how to configure the IIS Default SMTP
Virtual Server on my DMZ to email both outside domains
and my internal domain? I think I have it configured
properly but it's taking forever to get emails from the
DMZ to my internal network. It also seems to be taking a
long time to reach external domains. Is there anyway to
speed up the email transmissions?

Thanks!

So it works fine but just takes a while? look at the SMTP logs and
see what the times are for a particular message and you'll get an idea
of how long it actually is taking and possibly where the holdup is.

I can now send emails from the IIS SMTP servers on my DMZ
to my internal Exchange server. How do I setup the FQDN
in the Delivery...Advanced... setting? I can use the
computer name but when I use the computer name.domain
name, I get "the domain name is not valid". I'm trying to
get this setup so the FQDN is recognized in reverse DNS
because some emails are not getting sent because there's
an invalid reverse dns lookup. I do have the FQDN of the
server listed in DNS reverse lookups. When I ping the
FQDN on the DMZ, it comes back with unknown host. I can
ping the FQDN of the server from the internal network and
from outside our network, just not on the DMZ. There is
no domain controller setup on our DMZ.
