IIS5.0 - SMTP virtual server not visible

| I'm having the same problem. I've tried to manually add
the snap-in through MMC, but that doesn't work either.
The SMTP server is running, because I can telnet to it,
but I can't configure it because it doesn't show up in the
management console.
If you or anyone else figures this out, please message me
at rjones(deletethis)@imsurenetwork.com
Thanks.

| Hello,
Have you tried registering the smtpsnap.dll (c:\winnt\system32\inetsrv) by
running the command "regsvr32 smtpsnap.dll"? Open the IIS MMC again after
doing this. Let me know if this helps!
Thanks,
Yogita Manghnani

| You have Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server installed on this computer, don't
you?
The SMTP Virtual Server is not visible on a computer with Exchange server
installed. Exchange runs as a service of IIS and hides this service from
view.
