How to speed up smtp

| Hi,
What is the number of message sent per second for SMTP in Windows 2003? And is there anyway that I can change this number?
As I monitor the SMTP service, it show only 2, sometimes 3 messages sent per second.

No defined number, depends on the speed of your system, the connection
between you and the destination, the size and type of the message and
so on.

Buy a faster system with more bandwidth.
